DEAR NORRSKEN FRIEND

Norrsken is proud to invite you to Norrsken Impact Talks.

We are putting ideas, perspectives, and people on stage to provoke and inspire new thinking and new action. We believe that open and authentic conversations where the narrative is not settled in advance lead to friction that sparks new ideas and enhances collective intelligence.

WHO estimates that depression is the leading cause of disease burden on society by 2030. Already today, more than 1 billion people suffer from migraines. But since the development of SSRIs (antidepressants), barely any new drugs have been introduced. ARE WE WASTING BILLIONS ON THE WRONG GLOBAL POLICIES?

Few statisticians inspire more passion and controversy than Bjørn Lomborg. Time Magazine ranks him as one of the 100 most influential people of our time, while Rajendra Pachauri of the IPCC compares him to Adolf Hitler. Bjørn himself states that “if we care about the environment and about leaving this planet and its inhabitants with the best possible future, we actually have only one option: we all need to start seriously focusing, right now, on the most effective ways to fix global warming.”

As Assistant Secretary-General, Ulrika Modéer is leading UNDP's strategic partnerships across 170 countries to achieve the sustainable development goals.

Johan Kuylenstierna is one of the most influential minds shaping Swedish and global climate policy, most recently as chair of the Swedish Climate Policy Council and previously as CEO of the Stockholm Environment Institute.

Together they will cover the most effective ways of dealing with the climate crisis.
